Ian has specialist expertise in re-use, renovation and extension of historic buildings in mixed-use, office and residential sectors. As Mesh’s design director he is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our commercial and residential projects.
In 2009 Ian set up his own practice, COG Architecture, having worked previously in commercial practice in Leeds where he won a number of awards including RICS and RIBA as project architect.
Ian has taught on the Professional Practice course and in the architecture design studio at Leeds Beckett University and recently served a term as Yorkshire Region Representative on RIBA National council.
An experienced project manager with a portfolio encompassing diverse sectors from large commercial to small individual clients, Martin brings an unfailing sense of professionalism to every contract.
Martin has 15 years’ experience running a business, having set up JAMM with fellow director Michelle Parker in 2002. In addition to his client-facing remit, Martin’s role as MD of Mesh is to develop and manage the business.
As a nationally recognised commercial interior designer Michelle brings extensive experience to her role as lead interior design specialist at Mesh. She prides herself on her accurate and incisive interpretation of each client’s brief.
Michelle’s specialism is to focus on the coordination of the interior scheme concept with the design team’s overall vision, encompassing client brand identities and always ensuring an uncompromised scheme delivery.
Michelle has particular experience in sectors including health and fitness, leisure, retail, medical and residential.
Robin is a director of Mesh with a particular focus on technical delivery and construction methods. His expertise enables us to deliver energy efficient buildings in accordance with modern codes. Robin joined has worked with a number of respected firms both in this country and abroad, developing an extensive knowledge of different building types.
He has contributed as senior architect and in management roles on diverse projects in housing, regeneration, mixed-use, commercial and health-care.
As architectural assistant, Sonia works on a variety of project types and sizes with specialist expertise in housing and residential projects.
Sonia returned to architectural practice in 2015, after working for eight years client-side for two National Housing Associations. Her past responsibilities include managing design teams and contractors to ensure that schemes met legislative compliance and specialist funding requirements.
She has also worked on a wide range of projects including health-care, specialist rural regeneration and housing.
